GAMES HELP

Why can’t I get the game to load?
Most CartoonNetwork.co.uk games require Flash. If you don't have it, you can download the free Flash plug-in here.

This will allow you to play the majority of our games library. The remaining games require the Shockwave plug-in, which you can download free here.

Why is the game taking so long to load?
Most of our games have file sizes ranging from 500K to 1.5 MB. Depending on your Internet connection, games can take several minutes to load. For information about high-speed or broadband access, please contact your local service provider.

Why does the Games page look funny on my computer?
CartoonNetwork.co.uk looks best on the latest version of Internet Explorer and Firefox on PCs and Safari on Macs.

I’m looking for a specific game, but I can’t find it on the Games page.
Try clicking the ‘All Games’ button within the GAMES section, then look for the relevant game by clicking ‘more games’. Alternatively, if you know the show involved in the game, try the ‘show finder’ at the top of the page. At last, you can click on ‘Site Map’ and try to find it there.

What are the shows’ microsites?
The microsites are fun packed environments where you can play show related games, find information about characters, watch short video clips and get cool wallpapers.

Why do the shows’ microsites look funny on my computer?
The shows’ microsites requires the latest version of Flash. If you don't have it, you can download the free Flash plug-in here.

Why can’t I play the video clips?
The microsites video clips require Windows Media Player. Please make sure you have the plug in to watch the clips.

The microsites’ games require Flash. If you don't have it, you can download the free Flash plug-in here.

How do I download the wallpapers?
Select the wallpaper design you like the most, then the screen size more appropriate for your computer. Cartoon Network wallpapers are made in 3 different sizes: 800x600, 1024x768 and 1280x1024.

PC users: you can check your screen display size by left clicking your mouse on the screen and selecting ‘properties’ then ‘settings’ where you can change your screen display size.

Mac users: click the Apple icon on your screen and select ‘system preferences’, then ‘displays’ to change your screen display size.

How do I install a wallpaper?
PC users: once the wallpaper is downloaded and uncompressed, just left-click on the wallpaper and select ‘set as Desktop Background’.

Mac users: once the wallpapers is downloaded and uncompressed, click on the Apple icon on your screen then go to ‘system preferences’, then click ‘desktop and screen saver’ where you can browse your computer and select the wished wallpaper.

How do I get Cartoon Network Mobile content?
Go to the Cartoon Network Mobile shop at www.cartoonnetwork.co.uk/mobile where you can find games, ringtones and wallpapers for your mobile phone. You can check out free game trials but will require a credit card to purchase the full game version or any other mobile asset.

TV AUDIO DESCRIPTION HELP

Does Cartoon Network have audio description and subtitling services?

Yes. This service is available for selected shows on all our channels.

What's "audio description" on tv?

It's an additional commentary that helps people with a sight problem to picture the on-screen action, body language and facial expressions.

Audio description & Subtitling services are currently available on Cartoon Network, Cartoon Network Too & Boomerang which includes shows such as Ben 10, Foster's Home.., Billy & Mandy, Codename: KND, Scooby-Doo and Dexter's Laboratory.

How to get audio description or subtitles?

Press the “services” button on your remote control.

Move the highlighter down to “system setup” and press “OK” or simply press 4 on the remote.

Move the highlighter down to “languages and subtitles” and press “OK”, or press 3 on the remote.

Now you can turn audio description/Subtitles ON; insert a short beep so that, when you’re channel-hopping and you land on a channel that is currently transmitting a programme with description you’ll hear the beep; highlight all programmes flagged as having description in white on the on-screen Electronic Programme Guide.

Once you’ve set everything to your liking, you will need to; move the highlighter to “Save settings” then press “OK”.
